VeggieTales - Season 1 - Eps 12: Esther
Esther... The Girl Who Became Queen is the 12th VeggieTales episode, subtitled "A Lesson in Courage," teaching that you shouldn't fear doing what's right. Based on the Book of Esther, it tells how Esther becomes queen and must reveal Haman’s plot to harm her family. Instead of violence, banishment to the "Island of Perpetual Tickling" replaces murder. Inspired by *The Godfather* and *Casablanca*, the film noir style includes dramatic lighting, shadows, and voiceovers. Unique among VeggieTales, it lacks the usual countertop segments and Silly Songs. Esther’s character, costly to animate due to her hair, never returned. It’s also the only episode narrated by a non-Veggie and the only one without Bob the Tomato.

Synopsis
