Alan Marden, the hospital's financial controller, is admitted to the ward with hyperthermia and gets to see the results of his budget cuts up close. An obsessive gunman embarks on a shooting spree as he stalks Charlotte through the hospital. Terri breaks the rules to prevent her supervisor from dying. Regina and Morris' anniversary goes tragically wrong.
