Lilya and Varvara have an emotional reunion, as Lilya also is reunited with the boy she wanted to adopt. Stepka is brutally beaten. News that the war has ended spreads, and Alenka goes to see Ignat.

Synopsis
An epic family saga set in the Russian Urals before, during and after the Second World War.
