CHOR takes the leftovers back to the restaurant for cashing in after KIU and the others have a big meal. FAI pretends not to recognize KIU’s voice when he calls up for HO. FAI’s wife, MA BING SHUM, is a perfectionist and proud of her perfect family. SHUN recalls the old memory of his little brother being drowned when he swims with SHUN, FAI and FAI’s son HONG. This tragedy still haunts him and has caused estrangement between him and his mother. KWONG’s youngest son, KI irritates SHING after discovering that SHING has just bought a new car for a race. FAI asks HO out for a meal. HO grasps the chance to make KIU meet FAI. KIU reads FAI’s mind and cancels the date with some excuses. HO is disappointed. SHUM is upset when he chances upon HO and FAI taking an intimate picture. SHUN thinks of CHOR immediately when he needs a hand language specialist for a news special on television.

Twenty years previously, Chu Sha Kiu met an undergraduate from Hong Kong, Chuk Chin Fai and they immediately fell in love with each other. However soon afterwards, Fai decided to further his study in the United States. Kiu, though had just found herself pregnant, agreed reluctantly to let him go just for the sake of his future.
